Nadia Laribi

Nadia Laribi, Senior Officer of Sustainable Finance, GGGI Qatar

Nadia Laribi joined GGGI Qatar Program in June 2022 as a Senior Officer of Green Economy and Climate Finance. Nadia brings 10+ years of experience in debt capital market and Islamic finance and has provided advisory to public sector clients in multi-billion dollar funding programs. Prior to GGGI, she was a Vice-President with Barclays Investment Bank in London and covered issuers such as the World Bank, IFC, IADB, the EU and AfDB. She has also worked as a Funding Officer at Masraf Al-Rayan Islamic Bank in Doha where she delivered several of Bank’s debut financing facilities, including ‘sukuk’ (Islamic bond) programs.

 

Nadia holds an MSc. in Investment and Finance from the Queen Mary University of London and a Business Degree in International Management from ESG Paris, both with high distinction. She also obtained several professional diploma/certificates in areas of Islamic finance, sustainable finance & ESG, and sustainability reporting.

 

Nadia is a national of France, Algeria and the United Kingdom. She has lived in Paris, London, Istanbul, and Doha, and speaks French, English and Berber. In her role, Nadia will be leading the Program’s work on climate finance, supporting works on national green growth pathways, and developing bankable projects.
