The agriculture sector in the Province of Oriental Mindoro – known as “food basket” of MIMAROPA region – has a strong potential to drive economic growth in the region. However, this potential is not maximized due to vulnerabilities related to climate change and the limited capacity of farmers, farmer groups, and micro-enterprises in the sector.  Building on the integration of the Climate Resilient Green Growth Strategies in the development plans of Oriental Mindoro, the GGGI Philippines team is implementing the Program to mainstream climate resilience and inclusive green growth in the agricultural sector of the province. With co-funding from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the Program is aligned with the development plans by national government agencies and local government units.
