Fátima López Solana is the Monitoring and Evaluation Associate of the Mexico Country Program, where she supports the implementation of different projects, ensuring the appropriate implementation and enhancement of the monitoring, reporting and evaluation system of GGGI, and donors, like the Green Climate Fund (GCF), and UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT). She also helps identify funding opportunities and develop funding proposals to promote Green Growth and Sustainable Development, aligned with Mexico’s Country Planning Framework, GGGI’s 2030 Strategy and Government’s priorities.
Fátima has over 10 years of professional experience working on climate change and sustainable development. She has experience in the design and implementation of projects and policies, strategic planning, M&E, mainstreaming climate change, climate finance, transparency under the Paris Agreement, and sustainable infrastructure. Prior to joining GGGI, Fatima worked at the Climate Change Division of the Inter-American Development Bank, the United Nations Development Programme, and the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources of Mexico.
Fátima holds a B.A. in International Relations, and a Diploma in Environmental Economics from Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México. She speaks Spanish and English fluently.
