GGGI Ethiopia’s Country Planning Framework (CPF) for the period 2023 to 2027 has been approved by the Ministry of Planning and Development (MoPD) of the Government of Ethiopia (GoE). The ultimate purpose of the CPF is to serve as the guiding framework for the next five years in attaining GGGI’s Strategy 2030, while contributing to the implementation of Ethiopia’s Ten Year Perspective Development Plan (2021 -2030) .

Following the approval of the CPF, in her consultative meeting with Mr. Daniel Ogbonnaya, Country Representative of GGGI Ethiopia , H.E Dr Fitsum Asessfa, Minister of MoPD remarked that, “The GGGI Ethiopia’s CPF for the period 2023 to 2027, is prepared in close consultation with the key government institutions and well-aligned with key priorities of the government Ethiopia. We therefore strongly support its implementation and believe that the collaboration between the GoE and GGGI shall contribute to the realization of environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive economic growth.”

The CPF focuses on programmatic solutions and intended results which include green investments, climate action, climate resilient agriculture, sustainable forests, sustainable mobility and solar PV.
