Amman, 30th May 2023 – The Memorandum of Understanding between GGGI and the Jordan Government was renewed today by his Excellency Minister of Environment Dr. Muawieh Radaideh, and GGGI deputy Director-General Ms. Helena Mcleod.  The MOU reaffirms the strong commitment of both Parties to cooperate on the implementation of Jordan’s National Green Growth Plan and beyond. Key areas enhanced cooperation will include building the capacity of key government stakeholders, supporting initiatives to create access to green jobs for all Jordanians, including women and youth, as well as refugees and other marginalized groups, increasing public and private investment flows to convert green growth strategies and investment plans into implementable actions, particularly in the six key green growth sectors: Agriculture, Energy, Transport, Tourism, Waste and Water.
