November 14-16, Cebu, Philippines – With around 100 participants from more than 40 countries, the GCF Adaptation Rationale workshop supported participants in the development of project pipelines, that effectively articulate key elements of climate rationale to further attract adaptation finance; and help ensure the implementation of upstream readiness support, including for adaptation planning processes that effectively contribute to this effort. The workshop focused on enhancing technical capacity of Direct Access Entities, NAP coordinators and delivery partners for developing their pipeline of project concepts with strong climate rationale and financial instruments and identify strategies for engaging the private sector throughout the project development process in the preparation of NAPs and Readiness and Funding Proposals.
