Overview

The global urgency of climate change demands more than conventional tools. Governments, private companies, philanthropies and civil society must join forces. The New Frontier Group was launched to overcome these barriers and build a new multi-stakeholder partnerships platform to deliver green growth solutions.

What is the NFG

NFG is the newly established collaboration platform of GGGI, officially ratified by the 2025 Assembly decision. It brings together a wide spectrum of stakeholders, from sub-national governments and municipalities to private sector companies, philanthropic foundations, NGOs, and other non-state actors.

The NFG is not a governing or a decision-making body of GGGI, but a partnership platform designed to strengthen public-private-philanthropic partnerships; to create structured opportunities for collaboration; and to mobilize members to co-develop green growth solutions.

   As part of NFG, members gain access to high-level dialogues on global green growth, the opportunity to co-develop initiatives with GGGI that align with their priorities and GGGI’s technical expertise, and enhanced visibility through GGGI-hosted events.

Early Results

Since the launch of NFG, we have reached several early milestones. GGGI hosted a membership ceremony with the Mayor of Pohang to welcome them as members to NFG. We are now preparing to roll out a sponsored internship program for Pohang students, further strengthening youth engagement and capacity building. In addition, GGGI and Pohang are exploring opportunities to co-host a dedicated NFG event.

NFG envisions a world where green growth is not just a policy promise, but a collaborative movement, where cities, governments, companies and philanthropies work together. Through NFG, members will have the opportunity to join and build a global ecosystem.
