Upcoming Virtual Event: Women in Green Innovation in the Pacific

GGGI’s Pacific Green Entrepreneurs Network is excited to share with you our upcoming virtual talanoa session on ‘Women in Green Innovation’ in collaboration with our partners Emstret Space, Greenhouse Coworking, Samoa Business Hub, Tonga Youth Employment & Entrepreneurship and Vanuatu Chamber of Commerce and Industry in honour of International Women’s Day on 8th March.

The United Nations theme for International Women’s Day 2022 is “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”, recognizing the contribution of women and girls around the world, who are leading the charge on climate change adaptation, mitigation, and responses to build a more sustainable future for all. Women are strong advocates for green recovery in their nations, however many struggle with financial literacy, access to funding, bureaucracy, and cultural norms and responsibilities that can make pursuing a start-up business difficult. This panel hopes to illuminate elements of green entrepreneurship, challenges and opportunities for female entrepreneurs, and spark inspiration and ideas for women green entrepreneurs to scale up their ambition going forward.

We have an amazing panel of women from across the Pacific lined up to share their experiences in green innovation and entrepreneurship, moderated by the Global Green Growth Institute’s Deputy Director-General Helena McLeod.
