Vanessa Namayanja

is the Communication and Media Development officer of the GGGI Uganda program. As a communication and media development officer, she aims to make the program works and progress known to all stakeholders that include, implementing partners, donors, media, and the public. She looks forward to developing a range of media platforms to enable send the GGGI message far and wide and participate in communication with different development partners to ensure alignment and complementarity, identify opportunities for additional communication and visibility.

Previously Vanessa has worked with the Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry, and Fisheries as a communication specialist since 2016 and has worked as an Information Technology Officer at Victoria Medical Centre. As a communication specialist I was responsible for collaborating with management to develop and implement an effective communications strategy based on the project’s target audience, writing, editing, and distributing content, including publications, press releases, website content, annual reports, speeches, and other marketing material that communicates the project’s activities, preparing and procuring of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) materials and also managing the project’s social network sites on Facebook and Twitter.

Vanessa holds a Masters Degree of Arts in Journalism and Communication, a Masters Degree in Business Administration, and a Bachelor Degree of Information Technology, all from Makerere University.
