With close to 25 years of techno-commercial private sector experience, Shashank leads the Investment activities of GGGI in Indonesia. His role is primarily to lead in stakeholder engagement with the private sector, financial institutions and relevant government counterparts as well as to explore new collaborations with appropriate entities to promote green investments in Indonesia. Additionally, he provides important technical inputs and guidance to innovative business model design, financing vehicles design, enabling policies, risk evaluation and de-risking recommendations for projects.
Prior to joining GGGI, Shashank held multiple roles in Australasia such as commissioning engineer for petrochemical and cryogenic gas plant, oil/gas exploration engineer in Schlumberger, project finance analyst for Thomson Reuters, senior analyst in an Electricity Trading exchange, head of investment services for a family office (PE), head of business development for an Indonesian conglomerate etc. He has vast experience in commercial development/financial structuring/M&A of project investments from USD 0.5m to USD 2.5 B in thermal energy plants, chemical, mining, manufacturing and Agro industries.
Shashank holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engg from University of Pune and a MBA from Mt. Eliza Business School, Melbourne, Australia.
