Seungtae Kim is the Director of the Department of Development Finance (DDF) at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). Before joining GGGI in 2025, he served in the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Korea, focusing on economic policy and international development cooperation. He also worked at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) from 2016 to 2019.

At GGGI, he leads the Department of Development Finance, which oversees programmatic funds such as the Korea Green New Deal Trust Fund and manages strategic partnerships with multilateral development banks and global climate finance institutions. He is also leading the development of the Green Voluntary Carbon Market (GVCM) initiative.

He holds a Master of Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and a BA in Economics from Seoul National University.
