Saurab Babu joined GGGI India as Technical Project Assistant (Forestry) for the USAID project on July 1, 2020.
Saurab is working closely with local communities and building a PES mechanism in the Narmada Landscape in Central India to restore degraded forest patches. He previously worked with GGGI as an individual consultant, supporting India Program in resource mobilization and also supporting the Program’s Sustainable Landscapes projects.
Before GGGI he worked with a fundraising organization, interacting with corporate companies, organizing public awareness events and engaging donors for various environmental initiatives.
Saurab earned his Bachelor’s degree in Geology from Delhi University, before receiving a Master’s degree in Environment Management from Forest Research Institute.
