Óscar Eduardo Díaz Forero PGDip.

Oscar is GGGI Senior Associate in Sustainable Agriculture in Colombia, responsible for developing substantive inputs and analyses to the development, delivery, and assessment of work related to sustainable agriculture and rural development activities in close work with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development. His main responsibilities include: supporting and aligning the relationship with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – MADR (Including both Vice-Ministries and pertinent Directions), as well as the Rural Agricultural  Planning Unit – UPRA, and other relevant actors at the national and subnational level, managing integrated processes and organizing effective program activities across Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development GGGI’s activities, as well as supporting the implementation of the Zero Deforestation Agreements for dairy and beef chains and action plans application for the Sustainable Livestock Regional Roundtables.

He holds an Agricultural Engineering bachelor’s degree, a Specialization in Economics and Rural Development & International Agriculture long term course, as well as Sustainable Agricultural Cooperatives short term course. Likewise, Oscar Eduardo has extensive experience more than 12 years in the public and private sector, supporting the implementation of agricultural productive projects, agricultural and rural development planning, among other aspects outstanding his work and commitment to sustainable rural development.

He speaks Spanish and English, develops his undergraduate studies at the National University of Colombia, holds a postgraduate degree in Economics at the University of the Andes, and advanced professional development studies at Cornell University in the United States of America. In the same way, he held a course on sustainable cooperatives in Seoul with the Korea International Cooperation Agency – KOICA.
