Nicole Perkins is the Country Representative of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) in Morocco. Prior to joining GGGI, from 2002 to 2017, she managed her consulting firm providing services in socio-economic development, and environmental policy and management. Her diverse and extensive experience in both promoting green growth and in the consultation process with key stakeholders in the public, private, civil society sectors and international development partner community has enabled her to contribute to the planning and implementation of a variety of inclusive, multi-sector sustainable development projects on both the national and sub-national levels. She has been operating in Morocco since 1996, and has been living there for 16 years.
She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Science (MAS) in Environmental Policy and Management from the University of Denver, Colorado, USA (2011); a Master’s in Business Science from the University of Montpellier, France (1995); and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in French Literature and Linguistics from Whitman College, Washington, USA (1993). She also holds certifications in the areas of climate risk reduction, water footprint assessment, and sustainable international investment policies.
