Mrs. Mbaya Isaac Diop is a Sanitation Associate. She provide technical assistance to the country team in implementing ongoing sanitation projects (City-Wide Inclusive Sanitation through Climate Resilience and Green Growth and Solid waste management project, waste from electrical and electronic equipment, wastewater in secondary cities, through innovative business models for recycling and recovery in Senegal). Her activities will include providing administrative and technical contributions, engaging stakeholders and supporting innovative opportunities for resources mobilization. She was the WASH manager and coordinator of a project called “mobilization of local actors for autonomous sanitation” funded by the Gates foundation at the NGO EVE.
Mbaya hold a bachelor’s degree in hydraulics and a master’s degree in environmental sciences. She is specialized in issues related to WASH. She is also an alumni of the YALI (Young African Leadership Initiative) Regional Leadership Center program and is a laureate of the fellowship Program for Young Professionals in Water and Sanitation in West Africa. Thus, she has carried out a study of the problems of access to water and sanitation in the suburban of the city of Thiés.
Mbaya is fluent in French along with an intermediate English level.
