Mauricio Feria is the public sector investment associate for Colombia. In this role, he is responsible for providing capacity building to target subnational governments and GGGI’s team in design, structuring, planning and develop funding proposals to public programs and projects to the implementation of both GGGI-Norway Green Growth Program, and GGGI-UKPACT Rural Electrification Support Program.
Mauricio has five years’ experience of working with national level public organizations in Colombia, in institutions as the National Planning Department DNP, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the National Company for Territorial Development. His professional career has been focused on promote good practices in public projects planning and support subnational programs and projects on its structuring processes to be presented to the public funding sources as the National Royalties System SGR in topics as infrastructure, education and rural development.
In the National Planning Department, Mauricio worked for the planning and implementation of the “Strengthening program for territorial entities in project structuring” leading the capacity building strategy, the design of guidelines of good practices, and the development of standard public projects. After that, in the Ministry of Agriculture he worked as technical consultant for the Direction of Public Rural Goods, in which he supported the structuring of agricultural projects to attend the COVID19 economic emergency for the Caribbean and Southern regions.
Mauricio holds a degree on Civil Engineering from the National University of Colombia, an honor Postgraduate Degree in Projects for Development from the School of Public Administration of Colombia, and a Certification in Design, Management and Evaluation of Public Policies from the Xaverian University of Bogotá. Recently, he pursued a certification course in PDR and Five Cases Model with the Global Infrastructure Program of the UK.
