Mario Londoño

Expert on issues of land use, climate change, and climate variability, since 2017 working as GGGI’s Land Use Officer, Mario has experience in the development, monitoring, and support of policies, programs, and projects in the agricultural, rural, and forestry sectors, directly with the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development, the German cooperation GIZ, the International Food Policy Research Institute in support of the Government of Colombia, the World Resources Institute the World Wildlife Fund – WWF, among others. Likewise, in investigative and consulting processes with the University of Los Andes on issues of Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions inventories, projection of policy scenarios, Colombian National Determined Contribution for the forest and agriculture sector, also in cost-effectiveness analysis, and GHG Monitoring, Reporting and Verification processes for public and private entities.
