Maria Clemencia Castellanos Forero

Maria Clemencia Castellanos Forero is GGGI´s Regional Associate in Nariño- Colombia, she joined de Colombia team with the mission of implementing GGGI subnational strategy in Nariño that seeks to support green growth mainstreaming at the local level, provide Technical Support for green planning and financing and develop a program for capacity building and institutional strengthening on green growth for local stakeholders from the public and private sector.

Before joining GGGI, Maria Clemencia was a consultant for KfW to provide technical support for the Green Growth Task Force on the formulation Colombia’s Long-Term Green Growth Policy in articulation with the Agenda 2030. Also, providing technical support to the SDG Technical Secretariat of the SDG Commission on the formulation of the Sustainable development long term policy and stakeholder engagement for sustainable development.

She is a Political Scientist with emphasis on law from Los Andes University in Bogotá – Colombia and holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy with emphasis in economic policy and a Master´s degree in Environmental Management and Development from the Australian National University- Crawford School of Public Policy.
