Liliana Dávila Stern

Central America Representative and Sustainable Landscape Lead for LAC

Liliana is the thematic lead on sustainable landscape for LAC and heads the green growth programs across the Central American region. These include thematic priorities that promote climate resilient landscapes, climate-smart agriculture, a wide adoption of sustainable energy and circular economy initiatives, as well as the uptake of sustainable financial mechanisms to support them. 

Mrs. Davila has over 18 years of international experience in developing strategies, policies and projects that promote sustainable rural development, increase adaptation capacities to climate threats, and achieve international sustainability commitments. Furthermore, she has gained extensive experience in nature-based solutions, social entrepreneurship, capacity development, corporate sustainability, and innovation. 

Prior to her role at GGGI, Liliana served in different leadership positions where she played a key role in identifying, cultivating, and managing donor relationships to support sustainable resources management and conservation efforts in the LAC region.  

Throughout her career, Liliana has been committed to building new pathways toward sustainability. Her holistic and strategic vision, strong management, research and analytic skills developed through working with UN bodies, public sector, civil society, multilaterals organizations and private sector has been reflected in her ability to adapt to different structures.  

Liliana holds a Master of Environmental Management from Yale University’s School of Forestry and Environmental Studies, as well as a Master of Business Administration.
