Dethie Ndiaye is from Senegal. Before joining GGGI, he was successively Senior Climate Finance Advisor with the Commission of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), then Africa Regional Programme Manager – Climate Finance, with the Global Center on Adaptation (GCA) and lastly Senior Adaptation Finance Specialist with the Africa Adaptation Initiative (AAI). Before joining ECOWAS, Dethie has also headed the Climate Finance Unit of the Centre de Suivi Ecologique (CSE), in Senegal.

Dethie hold an MBA in Business Administration, with 20 years of experience at local, national, and international levels in the fields of environment, climate change and climate finance.
