James Sheppard is Acting Head of Impact and Evaluation at the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI). In this role, he oversees evaluation function to strengthen organizational learning, effectiveness, and accountability. He works closely with management, program, and project teams to design and delivery evaluations in line with international good practice.
Mr. Sheppard has over 20 years of experience in international organizations, including the World Bank and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). His work has focused on how public sector institutions generate and use evidence to design effective interventions in response to economic, social, and environmental challenges.
An Australian national, Mr. Sheppard holds Master’s degrees in Public Administration from the London School of Economics and Political Science and in Public Policy from the National University of Singapore. He also holds Bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Arts (Asian Studies) from the University of Western Australia and is an Advanced Certified Development Project Manager. He is fluent in English and proficient in Indonesian.
