Jason Lee

Dr. Jason Lee is an academically trained economist with more than 20 years of professional experience in green growth and climate actions. Having worked in both private and public sectors in developed and developing countries, he has a wide range of expertise and experiences in corporate carbon strategies, economic analysis, emissions trading programs, policy analysis, sustainable energy, and waste management.

Dr. Lee has managed both small and large teams with up to 20 direct reports in his team. In particular, he has a proven record of business development and resource mobilizations, indicating his superb skills in client management and program implementation.

In the role of Sub Regional Director for Asia & Country Representative of GGGI Indonesia, he supports the Government of Indonesia to develop green growth policies, mobilize financing for green investment projects, build capacity for digital transformation and green growth implementation. Prior to the current role, Dr. Lee was the Country Representative for GGGI’s Viet Nam, Lao PDR program, Principal Economist at GGGI HQ, Principal Consultant at Samsung SDS, and Senior Economist at ICF International.

He holds a Ph.D. degree in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and a BA degree in Economics from the University of Chicago.
