Hohit Seyoum Gebreegziabher

Hohit S Gebreegziabher is the Program Officer of the GGGI country program on Green Growth and Climate Resilience in Papua New Guinea.
Hohit is a Prince II (foundation and practitioner) qualified Program Manager and adept at using both waterfall and agile management techniques. Holding a master’s in international development studies from Maastricht Universiteit, the Netherlands, She worked in the Climate Change and development sector for over 13 years in program design and implementation at some of the leading international NGOs. During that time, she engaged with government and research partners (Africa and South East Asia mainly) and international NGOs to deliver climate change programming with complex funding and partnerships involving cross-focus and cross-geography teams.
Prior to GGGI, She was working as a Program Manager at International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) in the Climate Change Group. She supported the design and implementation of research and policy programs supporting governments, bilateral and multilateral partners, and development finance institutions to design and test innovative approaches to equitable and climate-resilient development; design and implementation of policy, institutional and financial frameworks. She was also one of the core team at IIED that supported the Least Developing Countries Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE_AR) project design and phase I  implementation. Hohit is trilingual and is fluent in English, French, and Amharic. She is a Zumba guru and enjoys swimming, and cooking.
