Hohit S. Gebreegziabher is a Project Officer at the Senegal GGGI country program. She brings over 13 years of designing and implementing mega and complex climate resilience and adaptation programs. Before her current role, she was a Program Officer for GGGI Papua New Guinea (PNG), supporting the overall program portfolio to promote green growth and inclusive climate-resilient development in PNG.
Hohit is a Prince II certified end-to-end Program Specialist and holds a master’s in international development studies from Maastricht Universiteit.
Before GGGI, she worked as a Program Manager at International Institute for Environment and Development. She supported the design and implementation of research and policy programs supporting governments, bilateral and multilateral partners, and development finance institutions to design and test innovative approaches to equitable and climate-resilient development, design, and implementation of policy, institutional and financial frameworks. She was also a core team member supporting the Least Developing Countries Initiative for Effective Adaptation and Resilience (LIFE-AR) Project design and successfully implementing the first phase.
Hohit is trilingual and fluent in English, French, and Amharic. She is a Zumba guru and a foodie lover who enjoys experimenting with culinary fusion.
