Gabriel Orlando Velázquez Chávez

As the Monitoring and Evaluation Senior Associate, Gabriel assist the Mexico Program team by ensuring the appropriate implementation, enhancement of the monitoring, reporting, evaluation collection, systematization and quality review of the relevant information in accordance with the Donor´s requirements and systems, the online monitoring and the reporting GGGI systems, and the Mexican Country Program needs.

With more than fifteen years professionally, Gabriel has been involved in processes on Monitoring, Research, Evaluation, Learning and Accountability for Sustainable Knowledge Managenment, and for Portfolio-Programme-Project Design; performing it in country offices of United Nations agencies, International Cooperation, national and international NGOs; on issues ranging from climate change, human rights, combating poverty and child wellbeing; as an officer, consultant and adviser; with an impact at the territorial, national and regional level, and even with interventions outside his country, Mexico.

He has a degree in Pedagogy from the Centro de Estudios Universitarios (Monterrey, N.L.), a Master’s in Social Anthropology from the Universidad Iberoamericana (CDMX) and a Specialty in Escuela Nacional de Enfermería y Obstetricia – Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (CIMIGEN).
