Eva Diaz Ugena is the project Manager for the Vanuatu Solar Water Project. Eva has Water Management expertise focused on climate change adaptation in Africa, the Caribbean, Middle east and the Pacific, involving communities, governments and the private sector.
Prior to joining GGGI and after initially starting her engineering carrier in Spain, Eva worked for nearly twenty years with private companies as a freelance consultant being a socio-environmental coordinator and international NGOs and IO like the Red Cross, Care, UNHCR, ENABEL, UNICEF as WASH expert, supporting projects in Mali, Yemen, Jordan, Guinea, Haiti, Tanzania and Madagascar, including rural water supply through solar energy (small and big scale), wastewater management and capacity building for both governments and communities while supporting post emergency recovery and sustainable development plans and actively engaging with the private sector and other stakeholders.
Eva holds a Bachelor of Engineering, a Masters Degree in Integrated Water Management and a Masters Degree in Climate Change and Development.
Born in Spain, she has also lived all over the five continents.
