Berliana Yusuf is an Energy Specialist for GGGI in Indonesia. Working closely with the Energy Lead, Berliana strives to ensure that sustainable development is at the heart of Indonesia’s energy planning by supporting government partners to mainstream green growth in the national and regional energy plans, expand access to energy services and improve sustainable energy mix, with the ultimate goal of scaling up investment in clean and energy-efficient infrastructure.
Berliana has quite a list of credentials in the energy sector. Prior to joining GGGI, she was a Financial Analyst and Investment Facilitator for Winrock International, providing financial analysis and facilitating investment for Palm Oil Mill Effluent (POME) projects. She held various analyst and technical consultant positions for a number of institutions including Asian Development Bank, CDM Smith for the Millennium Challenge Account (MCA) Indonesia project, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, the World Bank, Nexant, TCG Consulting, and Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI).
She earned her undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from the Institute of Technology in Bandung (ITB) and has two graduate degrees in finance under her belt—one from the Australian National University and the other one from the University of Manchester, U.K. In her spare time, however, Berliana loves traveling and photography.
