Ms. Annaka Peterson is the Senior Officer for GGGI’s country program in Lao PDR. In her current role, she develops new green growth initiatives and provides technical support to government counterparts on a range of green growth topics.
Prior to joining GGGI, Annaka was the climate change policy lead for Oxfam International based in Washington, DC, and she held several positions within Oxfam including managing a regional agriculture and climate change program in Southeast Asia. Annaka’s experiences include policy analysis and programming on climate change, climate finance, international trade, environmental law, agriculture and gender equality.
Annaka has lived and worked in the U.S., China, Canada, Spain, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Uganda, Zambia, Ethiopia, and provided technical support to a range of countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America. She studied Asia Pacific Policy Studies at the University of British Columbia and holds a BA from the University of Wisconsin – Madison in Chinese and International Political Economy.
