Sustainable Energy Practices in Cambodia’s Garment Industry: An Energy Audit Study

This technical report analyzes the energy efficiency and renewable energy potential within Cambodia’s garment, footwear, and travel goods (GFT) sector. Based on 50 energy audits conducted between August 2021 and August 2022, the report identifies cost reduction and environmental improvement, and it also examines the relevant Cambodian policy framework.
This technical report is the third publication of the Switch Garment project funded by the European Union. The report was jointly produced by Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) Cambodia and The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI). Technical inputs and extensive review were provided by Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation, Ministry of Environment, Geres and Textile, Apparel, Footwear & Travel Goods Association in Cambodia (TAFTAC).
