Sunata is a group of women from Ciudad Barrios, in eastern El Salvador, who joined forces to establish the ACOPASU cooperative, dedicated to the production and sale of vegetables. By adopting improved production and marketing practices, they have increased their sales by 70% while reducing water consumption by 90%.

The group is one of 40 that have participated in the project Strengthening Capacities of Women and Youth for the Implementation of Climate-Smart Agriculture in El Salvador, implemented by the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) with financial support from the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs of the Republic of Korea (MAFRA), in coordination with the Government of El Salvador….
