The Karakalpakstan Agriculture Risk Profile identifies the risks to climate resilience in Aral Sea GRIP’s four target districts in Karakalpakstan, Uzbekistan. This executive summary presents the report’s key findings and recommendations, and includes analysis “dashboards” for the four target districts: Bozataw, Chimbay, Karauzyak and Kegeyli. The dashboards present the four districts’ exposure, sensitivity, and adaptive capacity to climate change and compare the district results.

This publication is a key product of GGGI’s Green Rehabilitation Investment Project for Karakalpakstan Republic to address impacts of the Aral Sea Crisis in Uzbekistan, funded by KOICA. The project used the recommendations to develop awareness-raising training and a campaign for disaster risk reduction. The awareness-raising measures will be implemented throughout 2023.
