Category
The Government of Indonesia, together with the Bali Provincial Government and with support from GGGI and Republic of Korea, has launched a pilot project to electrify Bali’s public bus network. Before operations can begin, critical decisions on route selection, vehicle types, charging infrastructure, and financing need to be grounded in evidence rather than assumption.
This report presents the results of a feasibility study assessing eight existing bus corridors across the Sarbagita metropolitan area, covering Denpasar, Badung, Gianyar, and Tabanan. Using a multi criteria assessment that weighed technical, operational, environmental, and demand related indicators, the study identifies the most viable corridor for e-bus deployment and outlines recommendations on procurement strategy and risk management to guide the pilot’s implementation.
