This Practical Guide aims to disseminate critical concepts about Article 6 of the Paris Agreement to help host country policymakers make evidence-based decisions when engaging in Article 6 cooperative approaches. Considering the technical complexity of carbon markets and Article 6, this Practical Guide breaks the topics of carbon markets and Article 6 into seven themes. References to relevant UNFCCC decisions, as well as international guidance prepared by leading international entities, are provided where possible and are intended to allow the reader to access more information if needed.
