REOI: Bankability Support for Plastic Waste Management Projects in Thailand

In Thailand, the program will focus on achieving the following three outputs.
Output 1: Develop two bankable projects on plastic waste management and mobilizing at least USD 50M in Thailand
Output 2: Deliver policy recommendations to address the financing gap for plastic waste in Thailand
Output 3: Regional capacity building and knowledge sharing on addressing the plastics circularity financing gap
As part of Output 1, GGGI is launching a Request for Expressions of Interest (REOI) inviting companies to submit a concept note for their proposed project. Selected projects will receive feasibility grants and financial & investment advisory support to strengthen project readiness for potential investors and financiers.
2.1 Eligible Projects:
GGGI welcomes submissions of plastic waste management projects such as waste collection hubs, transfer stations, material recovery facilities (MRFs), plastic recycling plants, and related facilities that address Thailand’s plastic waste challenges.
Important Note: The project company must be a business registered in Thailand (including locally registered foreign subsidiaries)
2.2 Key Dates:
The REOI is now open. To respond to the REOI, interested applicants must submit a concept note. Instructions on how to prepare the concept note and the required format and information can be downloaded by clicking the button below. Submissions that do not follow the template or omit the required information may be deemed ineligible.
GGGI will review all REOI submissions and notify shortlisted applicants by 23 January 2026. Shortlisted companies will be invited for interviews and may be asked to provide additional information. Additionally, GGGI may also conduct site visits as part of the assessment prior to finalizing selection.

GGGI will host an online information session on Tuesday, 18 November 2025 at 11.00 – 12.00 Thailand time, to provide an overview of the REOI process, eligibility requirements, and selection criteria. The session will also include a Q&A session where interested applicants can raise questions related to the REOI and submission process.
