Project Overview

The project has a regional scope and aims to strengthen the sustainability (building climate resilience and greening investments) of the tea industry in Sri Lanka (as well as in India and Nepal) through the conduct of a Sustainability Needs Assessment and the development of an investment pipeline. It will support the uptake of green investments, raise awareness of stakeholders and facilitate knowledge exchange in the sub-region. A preliminary stakeholder consultation with key stakeholders from government, private sector, civil society organizations of the tea industry in Sri Lanka is targeted on 8th December to be jointly hosted by the Ministry of Plantation Industries and the Ministry of Environment.
