Mid-Term Evaluation of the project “The Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT)”
In 2025, the International Climate Initiative (IKI) commissioned a Mid-Term Evaluation of the project “Asia Low Carbon Buildings Transition (ALCBT)”.
The project promotes the transition to low-carbon buildings by addressing regulatory barriers, technical capacity constraints, and financing gaps that limit large-scale adoption. It focuses on reducing both embodied and operational emissions from buildings. The project is implemented across five countries, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam, by a consortium comprising the Global Green Growth Institute (lead), the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), and HEAT GmbH.
The purpose of the evaluation is to promote learning, strengthen accountability, and support improved decision-making among stakeholders. The evaluation covers project activities in Cambodia, India, Indonesia, and Thailand, as well as regional-level activities.
The evaluation was designed and managed by IKI’s Monitoring and Evaluation Unit and conducted by FAKT Consult.
IKI did not publish an inception report for this evaluation.
