Mid-Term Evaluation of the Project “Agroforestry Concessions (Agrofor)”
In 2022, GGGI commissioned a mid-term evaluation of the project – PE08 Agroforestry Concessions.
The project was implemented to support the establishment of agroforestry concessions in Peru, with the goal of reducing deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions, while improving the livelihoods of family farmers at the Amazon forest frontier. The project was implemented by GGGI, in consortium with the World Agroforestry Centre (ICRAF) and the Peruvian Society of Environmental Law (SPDA), and was funded by the Norwegian International Climate and Forest Initiative (NICFI).
The evaluation aimed to assess progress in project implementation from March 2020 to February 2022, identify lessons learned, and provide recommendations to strengthen project performance and management during the second half of the project.
The evaluation was managed by GGGI’s Impact and Evaluation Unit and delivered by Sistme.

An Evaluation Report, prepared by the evaluation team, presents the findings and recommendations.
GGGI developed the management response and action plan (MRAP) to the evaluation. The MRAP was approved by the Management Team in November 2022.
