Evaluation of the Mongolia Country Program
In 2019, GGGI commissioned an evaluation of its Mongolia Country Program. GGGI has worked with the Government of Mongolia since 2014, supporting the country’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), and long-term national policy. The country program provides technical and advisory assistance across multiple sectors, including energy, climate action, green financing, and carbon markets, and mobilized green investments.
The evaluation aimed to assess the progress of the Mongolia Country Program towards achieving impact. It developed an impact pathway diagram to map the program’s contributions to its potential impacts. The evaluation focused on projects implemented between 2015 and 2019 in the areas of energy, green cities, and green financing.
The evaluation was undertaken by GGGI’s Impact and Evaluation Unit.
