Evaluation of the Mexico Country Program
In 2017, GGGI commissioned an evaluation of its Mexico Country Program. GGGI has worked with the Government of Mexico since 2013 in the assessment, development, and implementation of public policies that promote green growth. This includes technical assistance to specific projects and support for knowledge sharing between Mexico and other countries in the region.
The evaluation aimed to gather evidence on the results achieved by the GGGI Mexico Country Program up to 2017 and inform improvements to future program design and delivery. The evaluation covered all five program areas—green growth planning, air quality, public transport, climate technologies, and knowledge sharing to promote South–South cooperation—and conducted an in-depth analysis of two priority areas, transport and air quality, to assess progress towards achieving impact.
The evaluation was managed by GGGI’s Impact and Evaluation Unit and delivered by an individual consultant.
GGGI sought a qualified, reputable, and experienced expert to provide consultancy services for the evaluation. An approach paper, prepared by GGGI IEU, guided the expert in conducting the evaluation.
