GGGI Senegal took part in the sites visit with Urban Planning Ministry at Touba

On October 3, 2020– The Senegal Urban Planning Ministry conducted a site visit to Touba as the part of the UCG Stanby Magal Touba Event, in order to visit the features set up to collect waste around the mosque, connecting roads, and aggregation points alongside avenues in the Touba district. The objective was to ease waste collection from households.

GGGI country representativem Romain Brillie, took part in the visit and met with the ministry in order to talk about the partnership between GGGI and the UCG through the plastic waste management component project in Touba district. They visited the integrated center of waste valorization, which should be operating in 2021.

As studies are underway, GGGI & UCG will organize a work session with relevant departments in order to explain options that might be implemented in the Touba waste collection mechanism with a 3 ton recycling unit.
