GGGI Mongolia supported “Green Technology-Energy Efficiency 2018” conference and exhibition

On May 28-29, Mongolia’s Ministry of Environment in association with the Energy Regulatory Committee and the Chamber of Commerce, organized a two-day event on Green Technology and Energy efficiency. GGGI co-sponsored and co-organized the event for three consecutive years since 2016.

The main goal of the event was to promote environment-friendly green technology and innovations. There were two sessions of the event a) a conference; and b) an exhibition.

The conference, held on May 28 at the Chamber of Commerce, was attended by more than 70 participants and there were discussions on two main topics on a) Green policy and Green Finance; b) Energy Efficiency. The aim of the conference was to discuss about the world development trends, latest green technology, innovation, strategy and best practices of other developed countries.

The aim of the exhibition was to introduce and disseminate environment-friendly technology and innovation, which are adaptable and pragmatic for industries, production, and businesses. The exhibition was intended to support start-ups in setting-up connections or network with financiers and investors. More than 60 business entities in energy efficiency, renewable energy, waste reprocessing, green construction materials, waste water treatment, and green products have attended the Green Technology and Energy Efficiency-2018 exhibition, which was supported by the GGGI Mongolia team.

H.E. Vice Minister Batbayar.D, for Environment and Tourism, Mr. Lhagvajav.B, Chair for BoD of Chamber of Commerce, and Mr. Bassaikhan, State Commissioner of Energy Regulatory Committee delivered opening speeches.
