On March 21, GGGI kicked off its Annual Meeting in Seoul with an opening presentation by Director-General Frank Rijsberman where he focused on presenting the home runs for 2018 and the planning directions for 2019-2020. Attended by some 100 staff, including Country Representatives and members of country offices, the main focus of the Annual Meeting this year was intended to provide an opportunity for all teams involved in country and global business plans to present the key achievements as well as areas for improvement in 2017, home runs for 2018, and business plans for 2019-2020.
Active discussions were held after the presentations by Heads of Programs and Country Representatives at the business plan review sessions. During the three-day meeting, parallel sessions were held as well to provide an opportunity for all country teams and HQ staff to take part in the training and information-sharing sessions on topics ranging from communications, technology services, culture change, staff council to Thought Leadership and accessing the GCF.
