Seoul, Republic of Korea, July 17, 2026 – Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) has appointed eleven distinguished leaders and experts to its Advisory Committee, reactivated after more than 10 years, to provide independent strategic guidance as GGGI advances its mission and Strategy 2030.
The Advisory Committee brings together experts spanning sustainable finance, climate policy, international trade, digital innovation, and emerging markets, reflecting the cross-sector thinking that green growth increasingly demands. Members will advise the GGGI Council on its strategic priorities, partnerships, new initiatives and long-term institutional objectives, as well as serve as a bridge between GGGI and a broader ecosystem of public, private, and academic actors.
The Committee’s inaugural meeting is expected to take place during Global Green Growth Week (GGGW) 2026, which will take place in Seoul in October 2026. The appointment of Advisory Committee members was approved by the GGGI Council through its 2026 Council Decision (C/2026/DC/6), adopted on May 19, 2026, in accordance with the Advisory Committee Terms of Reference.
“The reactivation of GGGI’s Advisory Committee comes at a critical moment for global climate and development cooperation. We are honored to welcome such distinguished leaders and experts whose collective experience and insights will help strengthen GGGI’s efforts to support countries in advancing resilient, inclusive, and sustainable growth.”
