The Climate Technology Accelerator Fund (CTAF) is GGGI’s new platform to identify, pilot, and scale future-oriented climate technologies that support green growth, sustainable industries, and country-led climate action. Launched with support from the Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT) of the Republic of Korea, CTAF connects technology, policy, finance, and implementation partners to turn innovative solutions into scalable climate impact. With a planned funding size of approximately USD 14 million over seven years, CTAF operates through three financing windows to support climate technologies from proof-of-concept to commercialization. The fund helps build bankable project pipelines, connect solutions with climate finance opportunities, and strengthen the enabling conditions needed to scale technologies across countries and communities.

CTAF operates through a collaborative model designed to move climate technologies from demonstration to scale. Its strategy focuses on creating shared value for partner governments, industries, universities, and research institutes. It will pilot technologies globally through existing funds and initiatives, engaging expert working groups to strengthen project quality and impact, advancing future-oriented innovations beyond conventional solutions, and showcasing results worldwide to attract partners, support commercialization, and expand the fund’s reach.
