Luxembourg International Climate Finance Days 2026

From 3–5 June 2026, Luxembourg’s Ministry of the Environment, Climate and Biodiversity will convene the inaugural Luxembourg International Climate Finance Days, bringing together global leaders from government, international organizations, development finance institutions, and the private sector to advance practical solutions for scaling climate finance and accelerating implementation toward global climate goals. Held ahead of the UNFCCC Subsidiary Bodies meetings in Bonn, the event will focus on mobilizing public and private finance to help meet the New Collective Quantified Goal (NCQG) of USD 300 billion annually for developing countries by 2035.

As part of the programme, the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) will host a High-Level Dialogue on Climate Nexus Finance: Aligning Financial Systems for Climate, Nature and Resilience Infrastructure, convening senior representatives from the Government of Luxembourg, CEOs of leading financial institutions, and government officials from GGGI Member States supported by the Global Trust Fund (GTF). The session will explore how financial systems can better integrate climate, nature, and resilience considerations to support sustainable and long-term economic development. Discussions will focus on the role of innovative financial instruments, capital markets, and policy reforms in mobilizing investment for resilient infrastructure and nature-based solutions, particularly across emerging markets and developing economies. The dialogue will also highlight practical approaches to scaling resilience finance and the role of the GTF in supporting innovative transactions and advancing their integration into mainstream financial markets.
