Kampala –July 7, 2022 – GGGI Energy Expert Fredrick Barasa facilitated a one-week introductory training for the Agribusiness Development Centre (ADC) staff  on green growth, climate change action, gender, equality and social inclusion.

The training aligns to the  increased demand for smarter approaches among technical teams to deliver socially and environmentally compliant interventions.

The ADC  staff were able to understand the practical application of green growth to implement gender responsive approaches, identify entry points for mainstreaming gender in its operations starting with a gender analysis and needs assessment in its programs and training content, and eventually developing focused content on gender equality and social inclusion for its clients.

The The Uganda Green Growth Development Strategy recommends a multi-stakeholder participation in green growth mainstreaming and implementation of actions, this training is well aligned to this recommendation.
