Fellowships and Internships

GGGI, together with partner organizations, supports a number of fellowship and internship programs both in its headquarters in Seoul, as well as through its in-country projects and programs.

Global Green Growth Institute – Future Earth Australia Fellowship Program

The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and Future Earth Australia (FEA), hosted by the Australian Academy of Science, are sponsoring opportunities for up to 8 early career researchers, professionals, and postgraduate students from FEA member organizations to participate in a Fellowship program each financial year. The 2018-2019 call for applications is now open. There will be two selections rounds: one in 2018, and one in early 2019.

Fellowships for successful applicants will comprise research placements a minimum of 3 months and up to 6 months duration in one of GGGI’s country offices or in its Headquarters in the Republic of Korea, along with a stipend and travel support for eligible applicants. The Fellowships are intended for individuals with an active academic or professional interest in sustainability and green growth research challenges and opportunities and a desire to gain hands-on experience working in a developing country. Please note that the Fellowship is not an entry route to employment at GGGI or FEA.

Applicants to the Fellowship program may choose to either:

  • Take part in a research project identified by GGGI. Click here to download summaries of propose research topics.
  • Propose a research project in a GGGI country program that aligns with GGGI’s and FEA’s respective visions and missions. Applicants choosing to propose their own project should identify one or more potential supervisors, with arrangements for successful applicants to be agreed upon with GGGI prior to commencement.
