About GGGI in Guyana
Guyana is a founding member of the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) since its inception in 2012 and is also a founding member of the Caribbean Community and Common Market (CARICOM). Since 2018, GGGI has been a trusted advisor to the Government of Guyana, initially supporting energy initiatives and later expanding to forestry and climate change.
Our Collective Journey
The GGGI Guyana team, embedded in the Office of the President, provides technical support to the Government of Guyana to achieve sustainable, climate-resilient, and low-carbon growth. We have supported Guyana with several projects focused on energy, sustainable forest management, adaptation, and climate change. In alignment with its broader commitment to the Caribbean sub-region, GGGI supports key sustainable development priorities such as Green Investments, Climate Action, Renewable Energy and Sustainable Forests. These efforts aim to foster a more sustainable and inclusive future for Guyana.
