2022 Spring All Staff Meeting

February 28 – March 4, 2022, Seoul – GGGI held a week-long, virtual Spring All Staff Meeting, inviting all GGGI staff members to take part in a total of 53 sessions (25+ sessions organized from country and regional offices) to discuss the key topics/themes and share knowledge and lessons learned across the organization.

The main objectives of the five-day All Staff Meeting were to bring the whole organization together to 1) reflect on 2021 performances and key achievements as well as 2022 Key Homeruns, 2) prepare organization-wide key exercises such as WPB 2023-2024 and Regional Strategy for Pacific as part of key 2022 organizational commitments and 3) provide opportunities for staff to organize side event sessions for knowledge and experience sharing across the organization.

Mr. Ban Ki-moon, GGGI’s President of the Assembly and Chair of the Council and Dr. Frank Rijsberman, GGGI’s Director-General officially kicked off Day 2 of the Opening Session on March 1, which was followed by 2021 Organizational Results, Program Performance Reviews (PPR) Sessions, consultation sessions on WPB 2023-2024 and Pacific Regional Strategy, and other key sessions.

Overall, a high level of participation and engagement took place in most of the sessions, utilizing innovative and new interactive tools (MS Teams polls, mural, etc.). Also, for this 2022 Spring All staff meeting, teams particularly made strong efforts to make the meeting inclusive and interactive – improve gender balance and inclusiveness in sessions. To accommodate the time difference issues, the meeting timetable was expanded beyond the HQ working hours and followed the sun approach allowing sessions to be organized around the clock.

The All Staff Meeting is also the time to recognize and celebrate the outstanding performance of our colleagues and teams in the year. Congratulations to all the winners who have made signification contributions, leading by example, and have shown strong commitment and dedication toward success in 2021.
