Training of Trainers Workshop on Green City Strategy and Roadmap Development held in Senegal

Dakar, Senegal – April 10 – As part of the extension phase of the program for the development of secondary green cities in Senegal, the GGGI Senegal team agreed with the Government to set up a panel of experts. This option is also part of GGGI’s mission to develop national expertise in the areas of cooperation with countries.

It is in this context that a training of trainers workshop was organized for the benefit of the members of this panel. It was held on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 at the GGGI Senegal Office. About fifteen senior officials from the ministries in charge of Environment, Urban Planning, Energy, and Sanitation attended the training.  Representatives of the civil society organizations also participated in this workshop.

It focused on sharing with participants the different stages of the strategy formulation methodology and roadmap for the development of green secondary cities in 2018 and beyond.

At the end of the workshop , certificates of participation have been awarded to the attendants. The participants appreciated the content of the training as well as the approach.

The training session was led by Mr. Ale Badara Sy, Green City Development Specialist.
